Run 3 combines precision platforming with strategic gameplay:

  1. Navigate through space tunnels by running and jumping to avoid falling through holes
  2. Use the walls and ceiling as running surfaces - gravity changes relative to the surface you're on
  3. Collect power cells (glowing squares) throughout levels to unlock new characters
  4. Choose between Explore Mode (free level selection) or Infinite Mode (endless challenge)
  5. Select different characters with unique abilities to help overcome specific level challenges:
    • The Runner: Well-balanced speed and jump height
    • The Skater: Fast but has limited jumping ability
    • The Lizard: Can stick to walls temporarily
    • The Child: Small and light, with low gravity jumps

Run 3 features intuitive controls that are easy to learn but challenging to master:

Keyboard Controls:

  • Arrow Keys: Move your character (left, right, jump)
  • Up Arrow / Space: Jump
  • Left/Right Arrows: Move sideways and rotate the tunnel
  • Down Arrow: Crouch (for some characters)
  • P Key: Pause the game
  • M Key: Mute/unmute game sounds
  • R Key: Restart level (after failing)

Mobile/Touchscreen Controls:

  • Tap Left Side: Move left
  • Tap Right Side: Move right
  • Swipe Up: Jump
  • Swipe Down: Crouch (for some characters)

How do I unlock new characters?
New characters can be unlocked by collecting power cells throughout the levels or by completing specific achievements and challenges. Each character requires a different number of power cells to unlock. Check the character selection screen to see how many power cells you need for each one.
What's the difference between Explore Mode and Infinite Mode?
Explore Mode lets you select specific levels and progress through the game's storyline. It contains over 300 unique levels grouped into different tunnels. Infinite Mode generates random, endless tunnels where your goal is to travel as far as possible without falling. Both modes have their own separate high scores and achievements.
What are the best characters for beginners?
The Runner is a great all-around character for beginners as they have balanced stats. The Child is also good for beginners because of their slower falling speed, which gives you more time to react. As you get better, you might prefer the Skater for speed runs or the Lizard for levels with lots of small platforms.
Will my progress be saved?
Yes, Run 3 automatically saves your progress to your browser's local storage. This includes unlocked characters, completed levels, and collected power cells. However, if you clear your browser data or switch to a different browser or device, your progress will not carry over.
